Journal History
Finance, Accounting and Business Analysis (FABA) was established in 2019 at the initiative of the academic staff of the Department of Finance, University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Sofia, Bulgaria, in scientific collaboration with the Monetary Research Center, University of National and World Economy.
The journal was founded with the objective of providing an international, peer-reviewed platform for original research and scholarly debate in the fields of finance, accounting, business analysis and related areas of economics and management. From its inception, FABA has operated as a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal.
Key Milestones
2019 – Launch of the journal and publication of the inaugural issue (Vol. 1, No. 1).
2020–2022 – Consolidation of editorial processes and strengthening of international editorial board membership.
2023 – Implementation of structured editorial and ethical policies aligned with recognized international publishing standards.
2024 – Expansion of international authorship and enhancement of digital publishing workflows (including DOI assignment and metadata standardization).
2025 – Continued regular biannual publication (June and December issues) with full open access availability.
Throughout its development, FABA has maintained a consistent publication schedule of two issues per year and has continuously improved its editorial policies, transparency standards, and digital publishing practices to meet international scholarly communication requirements.
The journal remains committed to academic integrity, rigorous peer review, and the dissemination of high-quality research with international relevance.
