DOI & Crossref Registration Policy

Finance, Accounting and Business Analysis (FABA) ensures persistent identification, citation stability, and long-term accessibility of all published content through registration with Crossref.

  1. DOI Assignment

Each published article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) under the journal’s registered Crossref prefix:

10.37075

DOIs provide a permanent and stable link to the official version of record.

DOIs are assigned upon publication and are displayed on:

• the article landing page;
• the article PDF;
• the article metadata.

  1. Crossref Registration

All DOIs are registered with Crossref, an official DOI Registration Agency.

Through Crossref registration, the journal ensures:

• global discoverability;
• persistent linking;
• citation interoperability;
• metadata indexing in scholarly databases.

  1. Metadata Deposit

For each DOI, the journal deposits comprehensive metadata including:

• article title;
• author names and affiliations;
• ORCID identifiers (where provided);
• abstract;
• keywords;
• publication date;
• licensing information (CC BY 4.0);
• funding information (where applicable);
• reference lists (for citation linking).

Metadata is updated when corrections or retractions occur.

  1. Reference Linking

FABA participates in Crossref reference linking, enabling:

• outbound citation linking;
• inbound citation tracking;
• improved citation visibility.

Authors are required to provide accurate and complete references to ensure proper linking.

  1. Crossmark Integration

The journal participates in the Crossmark initiative to ensure transparency of post-publication updates. Crossmark metadata is deposited to indicate:

• corrections;
• expressions of concern;
• retractions.

  1. DOI Persistence and URL Maintenance

If the journal website structure changes, the Publisher commits to updating DOI resolution URLs to ensure uninterrupted access.

  1. DOI Integrity

DOIs are never reassigned, altered, or reused. Each DOI permanently identifies a single published item.

  1. Commitment to Scholarly Infrastructure

Through Crossref membership and DOI registration, FABA supports the integrity, traceability, and global accessibility of the scholarly record.
